WHAT I LEARNED WHEN I READ THE BIBLE God sent Rebekah to the well as the chosen bride of Isaac before Abraham’s servant even finished his prayer asking that God do this. This is a reminder that God knows everything, including our thoughts. “…You discern my thoughts.” (Psalm 139:2) “…for you alone know every human heart.” (1 Kings 8:39B). God knows us by our name. “I know you by name...” (Exodus 33:12). I often imitate what I think God might be saying to me, and I do this by using my name. “Lisa Lou, will you spend time with Me?” Personal words like this touch to the core. It helps us realize God is a personal God, and He wants a relationship with us.
