What I Learned When I Read the Bible
I learned in Genesis 2:23-24 this is where God creates the biblical union between man and woman. It is where he teaches a husband and wife they are to leave and cleave. Meaning, God forms a covenant with a husband and wife, and no one else is in that covenant. Not parents, not extended family, not future children. “The man said, ‘This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.’ That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.”-Genesis 2:23-24.
