Easy Meal Planning Part 3

To recap previous posts: 1) Create an inventory list of everything you already have in stock. 2) Create a recipe or two based on what you have. If nothing comes to mind, plug your ingredients into a website that will generate recipes based on inventory. Keep it simple (unless you are a foodie and love to cook). Chicken and rice make a great meal. Throw in a salad, and you are set. Once you have taken these two steps and have put together several recipes, write down the menu for the week and keep it posted in the kitchen where you can see it (a white board works well). I recommend leaving at least one day for leftovers and one day for eating out. Even professional cooks need a break from the kitchen every now and then!
