Similar to the stuffing, the cranberry sauce was very tasty and easy. It has a sweet but tangy flavor, which is just how I like it! Both the stuffing and this recipe only took a few simple steps to create a wonderful dish for your Thanksgiving table.
Makes 8 to 10 servings
Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
*2 tablespoons butter
*2 tablespoons minced shallots
*1 pound fresh cranberries
*1 cup orange juice
*1/2 cup sugar
*1/2 teaspoon salt
*1 stick of cinnamon
Preparation:
*In a medium saucepan on medium heat melt the butter.
*Add the shallots and cook for 1 minute.
*Add the cranberries and cook for 2 minutes, then add remaining ingredients.
*Turn the heat up to high and bring to a boil, then reduce to low and let simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until cranberries have softened and sauce is slightly thick.
*Remove the cinnamon stick and blend the sauce in a blender if you want sauce smooth, or just leave as it is for a chunky texture.
