Each of our Taste Test Reviews comes with the original recipe and the tester's notes/changes listed with the ingredient list in blue. We hope you enjoy!

If you try only one new recipe this month, it needs to be this one! YUM! The steak cooks up to be deliciously charred on the outside while remaining moist on the inside. The meat tastes like something from a Mediterranean restaurant and makes you think the recipe has to be complicated. However, everything is quick and easy to prepare.

Make sure you read the recipe before beginning as you need to marinate the steak for 30 minutes after adding the seasonings and soak the bamboo skewers for 10 minutes before creating the kabobs. Other than that the recipe is very straightforward.

Makes 7 Kabobs

Preparation Time: 45 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

*2 pounds NY strips, cut into 1 inch pieces

*1 cup oil

*1 tablespoon salt

*1 teaspoon black pepper

*1 teaspoon onion powder

*7, 6 inch bamboo wood skewers (soaked in tap water for 10 minutes)

Mint Yogurt Sauce:

*1 cup Greek yogurt

*1/2 cup finely chopped fresh mint

*1 teaspoon onion powder

*1 lemon, zest and juice

Salt and white pepper, to taste

Preparation:

*Place all ingredients in bowl and mix well.

*Cover with plastic film and allow to marinate for 30 minutes.

*Pass 4 to 5 pieces of beef through bamboo skewer. Repeat process until all meat has been skewered.

*Grill or roast in the oven to desired internal temperature. (It took a little under 10 minutes to cook these on the grill. I recommend flipping them only once per side to get nice grill marks.)

*Serve with yogurt sauce.

Preparation of the Mint Yogurt Sauce:

*Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl and whisk together.

*Serve with beef kabobs.
