5 Senses of Entertaining

Updated: Apr 22

When entertaining in your home, always remember to touch all 5 senses of your guests.

Sight: Lights turned low; lamps on; beautiful floral arrangements; a fire in the fireplace (if it is that time of year); candlelight flickering

Smell: Your favorite scented candle; food cooking in the oven; nice signature perfume for the hostess that does not overpower the other smells

Taste: Choose tastes for the different seasons: Christmas might bring ginger, nutmeg, peppermint and cranberries

Touch: Textured pillows on the couch; warm throws in a basket

Hear: Have music playing lightly in the background when guests arrive as sound evokes the strongest emotion

Together with you,

Lisa Lou
